Educational Resources

Journey to Reconciliation resources:

Why reconciliation in Canada is important:

Elder May Desnomie said to our class “Land based experiences are so important for indigenous and non-indigenous people, this is part of reconciliation in schools. There are lots of ways to incorporate it into your classroom, you can go for medicine walks, practice harvesting, take them fishing, explore archery, just incorporate land-based experiences” She also stated that it is of high importance to look at the way indigenous children are allowed to speak and/or respond to things in the educational setting, that spoke to me.
