4 Photos Project:

For this activity, we were tasked with finding 4 photos we resonated with, one that represents a sit spot, one finding a path, one viewing from a different perspective, and a fourth photo that would map your emotions. Here are the 4 photos I chose explained.

Photo 1: a sit spot

I chose this specific spot because to me, there is no better place to sit down then the window seat on an airplane. I love to travel, I am a bit of an adventurer, and the window seat is my favourite place so this picture seemed perfect. This photo was taken while my fiance and I were on our way to Vancouver, BC. This is actually the trip where he proposed to me, so there is so much sentimental value to me within this picture. I also just love seeing the mountains.

Photo 2: Finding a path!

This is one of my all time favourite photos, I took this photo when I worked in White City and I used to go for walks on my break! This photo not only represents a beautiful path that is familiar to me but also makes me feel warm and cozy. Winter is my favourite season and in my opinion, the most beautiful of them all so when I look at this path specifically I’m reminded of the beauty of nature and what it means to slow down and take a step back in life.

Photo 3: View from a different perspective

This is a photo from our family photo session this year. As you can see in the photo, it is my partner, our daughter and myself. My partner and I were taking couples photos at this point in the session but our daughter was so excited that she ran over to us. She was having the time of her life. When I look at this photo, I’m reminded of how blessed I am to live the life I’m living.  I have an amazing partner who has been by my side for years, and we have created this beautiful family together. This photo shows the emotion and love between the 3 of us. I adore this perspective.

Photo 4: Mapping my emotions

This photo was taken not long ago during the aurora borealis light show that we experienced here in Regina. It was absolutely incredible. I took my dogs for a walk on the train tracks and we stopped for probably 5-10 minutes to enjoy the show, it took my breath away. I couldn’t believe the way I felt standing there. It reminded me of just how small we (humans) are in the grand scheme of things. Nature is incredible and this photo is only a tiny glimpse of the beauty and art that takes place within.
