Summary of Learning: EC&I834, Winter 2025

Please find my Summary of Learning video attached for your viewing! I spoke to my understandings of online and blended learning, designing with accessibility, and the trials and triumphs of incorporating and creating H5P content.

I want to thank everyone in this class for their suggestions, feedback, contributions to discussions, advice, the sharing of tutorials, and so much more — much of what is in my summary could not exist without you! Thank you for such a collaborative learning experience.

I’m also now officially at the half way point of my M.Ed. This has been a perfect class at this time in the journey to explore so many avenues and opportunities as I continue through the second half!

  1. Great reflection Jessica! I strongly relate to a couple of the points you raised. In my reflection if also included discussion about the many definitions of terms that relate to online and blended learning, and how they are not really solidified! It makes it really confusing for both students and teachers!!

When you talked about the transition from confusion to creation in your H5P experience it made me reflect on the first time I was introduced to H5P myself. I totally felt the same way but through continuous practice and learning we become comfortable with things!

Great work! it was nice taking the course with you

    • Hi Rhett – thank you for the feedback! When you were discussing in class about the definitions not being solidified even at the university within your position, I can imagine that that would lead to some challenges — both from your perspective as an instructional designer and from the professors as well.
I’m looking forward to exploring and experimenting more with H5P in the hopes that my content creation becomes more engaging, meaningful, and intentional for my students.
It was nice to take the course from you as well!

  2. Your summary shows such an appreciation for the collaborative spirit of this course. It’s amazing how much we can grow when we’re surrounded by a supportive community. Your focus on accessibility and your honesty about both the challenges and successes with H5P show real depth in your learning. It’s inspiring to see how you’ve embraced blended learning with intention and reflection. Thanks for sharing your journey!

  3. Such a fantastic summary of learning video.
I appreciate how you not only capture your growth throughout EC&I 834, it also reflect your focus on designing with intentionality. It was also refreshing to hear you speak about the “trials and triumphs” of working with H5P, I was there and guess we all have been there. But you embraced that challenge and turned it into a meaningful learning experience.
Thank you for sharing your journey, Jessica.

  4. Hi Jessica!! I love your summary of learning and am impressed with your capture from from the content. Excellent idea!! I think each one of us struggled with some things but overcoming them to reach where we are today is a testament to the growth we acheived through this model. Creating a meaningful course where barriers to connectivity are there is challenging and the learning and teaching experience is great. Congrats and best wishes for the remaining courses!!

  5. Hello Jessica,
