Contributing to Others!
Contributing to the learning of others is something that was an important aspect of the class! I contributed to my classmates in a few ways! I commented on their posts. In these comments I left my suggestions and knowledge that I had. I answered questions to classmates when they would text or snap me individually! Best Part of My Project
The best thing about the project is that no matter what the cookies looked like, if I failed decorating them or they didn’t turn out I still had cookies to eat! This was something that my family had also really enjoyed. Each week there were cookies in the counter for them to eat. The Icing to Finish it Off!
Looking back at my learning project there are many things that to reflect on, some good, some bad and some that I did not think I would be reflecting on: My patience is very limited, I do not like to wait for things to dry and always tried to rush getting everything done. This week I wanted to focus on putting all of my skills I have practices to the test! I wanted to stick to a theme within my final batch of decorating and the theme I choose is barn yard animals. Trying Different Things!
New Learning This week I wanted to focus most of my time on learning about different techniques that can be used with icing. There are 2 techniques that I mainly wanted to focus on which are called, a wet on wet technique and a wet on try technique. Everyday we use Coding and Don’t Even Know it!
Coding is something that I have absolutely no experience with! I decided to give the Hour of Code a try to see how I liked it! I have never really given coding a thought, to me it was something that I was not at all interested in. One of my classmates has told me about Magic School AI. This is something that interested me and I wanted to learn more about so I did some further investigation to look more into Magic School. Magic school is an AI tool that teachers can use to create almost anything they can think of. Lots of teachers use Magic School AI to help create lesson plans, write IIP’s, communicate more clearly and many more things. Does Practice Really Make Perfect?
When learning a new skill everyone says practice makes perfect. This week I went into it saying “if I keep practicing I will become perfect.” However, this was not the case.
