Here is a condensed version of my first Story from the Field.
This week I had my first afternoon in a grade 1 classroom. It was actually at the school I had attended for elementary so it was pretty weird going back. I recognized a lot of the teachers and I was invited into the staff room to meet everyone. Going into the staffroom was a neat experience because it made me feel more like a real teacher. When the students came into the class they were all excited to see a new face. I enjoyed being able to talk one on one with the students and I managed to learn all of their names. I liked helping them with their writing and learning a bit about them too.
