Instructional strategies

There are different types of instructional strategies , one I found really helpful

                        Adaptive learning : learning for differentiation                                       During my elementary days, one of my classmates, Samar, had keen interest in painting, drawing and colors. However, it was difficult for him to recognize alphabets and numbers, oftentimes his words were misspelling and written invertedly. He was a nonconformist and had poor motor skills, which made it difficult to contemplate a solution for his performance in class. I observed that he was suffering from isolation ,felt detached, abnormal and alone in the class. 

When Samar was facing emotional abuse, he met with a substitute art teacher named Aryan, who became able to recognize his neurological disorder, dyslexia. Aryan understood Samar’s special needs and started unveiling Samar’s potential with educational psychology. Aryan created a supportive and collaborative classroom environment and Samar was provided with multisensory experiences related to each lesson. The motivation and affection helped Samar to feel comfortable and confident in class.

It made me realize that teachers play a pivotal role in the development of children.  I believe that every learner has its own pace of learning with different weaknesses and strengths. If teachers apply different teaching strategies according to the requirements of students it should be possible for learners to overcome their difficulties and become an equal part of the classroom.
