Hi everyone! My name is Julie Bartoshewski and I’m 18 years old. I was born and raised my whole life in the small town of Wynyard, Saskatchewan. I was raised by my mom and my dad and stepmother. I have an older stepbrother and an older brother. Also in my family are my dads dogs. Jake is a 4 year old red fox/yellow labrador retriever and Copper is a 1 year old red fox/black labrador retriever. Dogs and animals in general are very important to my life and I’ve been described by many as a passionate animal lover! Nature is also very important to me. The beauty in nature is something I appreciate greatly. Some pictures I have taken of nature are found in this ePortfolio.

On my mom’s side of my family, we are dedicated farmers. My uncle and grandpa were both farmers throughout all of my life and my uncle is still continuing farming currently. I have a love for farming life and being out in the country in general.

For 14 years growing up I was a dancer. I have danced in the genres of ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, and musical theatre. I also was very fortunate to get to be an assistant teacher to younger dancers for six years. This was a very important role that began my interest in teaching.

Currently, I am in my first semester of university. I’m working towards a career in secondary education. My major is in Social Studies and my minor is English. Due to Covid-19 I’m currently living at home with my mother. My home life in this small town is very important to me and I’m enjoying this extra time here.
