Week 2 – January 20/22

This was the first class in that I experienced anything like our learning circle. In previous classes, we have had breakout rooms to discuss readings, but not in this form. It was interesting to hear everyone’s opinions and also have each chapter talk to be timed. Although some members spoke a lot more than others, which made it hard for others to speak. I believe that everyone made great points during the conversation and everyone had something different interpreted from the readings. Some of us did not have the book yet, so we were able to skim through the PowerPoint quickly and get an idea of what the chapters were about. Having these discussions really helps me understand the chapters and the ideas behind the chapters.
