Week 5 – February 10/22

This week in our learning circle, it was just three of us. It was a great way to make sure we were all included in the talk and well as really hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions. In chapter 8, we collectively agreed that the 4 keys to ensuring that collecting and organizing evidence is a great thing to incorporate into the classroom. It does not just benefit the students and adults but it also benefits the teachers. In chapter 9, we had a long discussion about parents being involved in the school and parent volunteers. We all agreed that sometimes parent volunteering can be a bit unfair to some students as they may not get to experience their parents coming to volunteer like other students parents. I shared that my parents would maybe come once a year because they were both still in school themselves and also working 1-2 jobs each.
