Final Project

Welcome to my final project!

I designed four modules on addressing the challenge of low engagement among middle years students in Saskatchewan and examining the impact of AI-Powered tools on instructional design and the learning environment. These modules explore the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education’s Provincial Education Plan and a new initiative from the implementation team. They also include an analysis of AI and ethical considerations for educational settings. Finally, I conducted an evaluation of two apps: Verso and Verso’s Clarify-ed. These were trialed through personal use, and collaboratively with two staff and classrooms in my school. The modules conclude with with systemic recommendations for meaningful implementation in Saskatchewan schools.

In January, I will be sharing this learning with the administrators in my school division. For this reason, I have also included an annotated bibliography for my colleagues about using AI safely and responsibly in educational contexts with an emphasis on supporting student motivation.
