All children have a right to education, but they don’t all need exactly the same education.

In my eyes, every student has the potential to be successful, we just need to recognize that what that success looks like is specific to each child. My role as an educator is to help students achieve their own success, not my or society’s preconceived notions of what success is or should be. It is my job to see each student and their needs as unique and to incorporate different teaching strategies and approaches in order to include and engage all students including English Language Learners.

My Language Manifesto encompasses my beliefs regarding language in our classrooms as well as how I plan to encourage and foster language development for all learners in my classroom.
