~ About Me ~

Hello and welcome to my Education E-Portfolio! My Name Is Dallas Thody, and my pronouns are They/Them. I am in the K-5 Elementary Education program here at the University of Regina, and am aiming to finish my degree by the end of the Fall 2025 semester.

I believe that every child deserves to be able to express themselves, without fear of being singled out or bullied. It is an unfortunate truth that there is still discrimination in society, and sometimes it can even be within a student’s home where they face this. I’m going to do my best to ensure my classroom is a place of acceptance and understanding, where kids will be free to express themselves. For all I know, that time of acceptance might be the first time the kids hear that it is okay to be who they are.

I am currently working at the Pre-Primary location of the Montessori School of Regina, where I am guiding the students in art, as well as working as part of the after-school program. This job lets me see teaching, as well as learning, from different perspectives due to it being a school that is based on the Montessori Method of Learning.

As far as interests go, I have a bit of a mixture of them. I collect Batmobile edition Hot Wheels (that must stay in the packages) and have an assortment of other Batman collectibles. In addition to this, there is much more Lego on my shelves than I care to admit!

Thank you for reading about me! I look forward to seeing where my teaching career will take me!
