Technology is very present in my classroom, even though it’s only a grade 1 classroom. The students use ipads in both of the subjects that I take part in every week. For their language class they do stations and one of the stations is a French grammar app called LaLiLo. This is a tool that helps them learn French words and sounds and they can work on it individually. During math class the students do stations again and the ipads are another station. This time it is a math app that quizzes the students on addition, counting, subtraction etc… From what I witnessed last class it is a great tool as it offers explanations for students who need it while also giving more advanced students the opportunity to work ahead. From what I observe in my classroom, technology is a big part of the learning process and it is used in very beneficial ways.
