Little ol’ me

Little ol’ me

Little bit about myself… well I am a lot of things. But one of my favorite titles is Miss.White. (right behind mom). I have been a teacher for 4 years, and I have honestly taught everything from Pre-k to grade 10 along with student services roles. I love being a teacher. It is my chance to support little humans to become who they are truly made out to be. I am a mom of one lovely little girl named Emersyn (we usually call her Emmy) She is 7 months old already and has a smile (with 6 shiny chompers) that will light up a room, she keeps me on my toes with all the crawling. But I couldn’t imagine my life any different now. I am getting married at the beginning of next year in Jamaica (hell yeaaaaaa! Destination wedding is the way to go if you are busy and aren’t feeling the pressure of planning… cause guess what? Someone else has basically planned this whole wedding for me. So grateful for my travel agent. LOVE). I love to be with family and friends. I absolutely love to read, my kindle is one of my best friends. I love to eat… food is one of my passions. Not so good at making it, but gosh can I eat it LOL. I like reality TV shows, like big brother and survivor. This may sound cliche, but I also love my morning coffee… the peace… AHHH so nice. Get me my kindle AND a morning coffee + on my deck…. You have found me in my happy place.

Educational technology… hmmm I find that I am comfortable with computers. Would never say that I am an expert. But I know how to use these blogs (Have in another class… but I couldn’t find it, too be fair it was made in like 2016..) I am also great when it comes to google or Canva 🙂

  1. Hi Kyla,
I definitely wish we would have had a destination wedding back in 2011. It was my original plan, and I got sucked into feeling guilty that some people couldn’t afford to go…boo! Looking back, I wish we would have just pulled the trigger and done what we wanted. Wedding planning can be stressful, and it seems like destination weddings are the way to go. School and motherhood can be so overwhelming and busy when combined together. If you ever need any moral support or even to vent about the chaos, I’m a good listener. Looking forward to getting to know you a bit more through your posts.

    1. Sabrina, you are too kind! Venting through the chaos… AMEN! I will definitely reach out. 🙂

  2. Hello Kyla! Thank you— you’re so kind! I appreciate your engagement during our small group discussion as well. Of course, you’re more than welcome to come over and join me as an official food taster anytime!
It sounds like you’ve got a solid foundation with computers, and being able to navigate blogs, Google, and Canva is such a valuable skill set. I also enjoy the classic touch on your header image. Looking forward to sharing more of my culinary journey with you and reading more of your posts!
