For my course prototype, I worked on developing the ELA A30 course. As I said in an earlier post, this was to benefit me in the future and create something usable for me. In hindsight, this was much more challenging than creating something that I currently teach. I could have worked on adding more technology into a class I am currently teaching and practiced my lessons on my students. Either way, I felt like I progressed in my ability to plan technology integrated lessons and that planning for the future allowed me to really think about multiple facets of the course.
However, with that being said, there are some components missing from my prototype which would be present in a regular classroom. I review these and a few more details in the video posted below. Enjoy!

Ok, I am digging this! I have followed your prototype process throughout the semester and I am so excited for you to put this into place in the fall. Your A30 will definitely benefit from your History background. Your second module is awesome. Having students synthesize course content, their thoughts, and historical/current events is so important in A30 (or any English class), and you’ve created a really great lesson for them to practice this. I also really like module 2 as a scaffolding piece for their editorials. You have clearly put in a great amount of effort and detail and it shows. I hope we stay in touch if we ever need to share resources, ideas, or bounce ideas off one another. Thanks for sharing š
Wow! Thanks so much for your encouragement! You are a rockstar and have created some seriously amazing stuff for your students. Yes, we should keep in touch!
