As the curtains of this class close, it is time to wrap up my learning project. This is not the end of the road for me, but the beginning of endless possibilities with Canva.
For my learning project, I learned canva and dabbled in CHATGPT. First, after sheer curiosity, I discovered I could hook up these two together. I could generate content with CHATGPT, work on it and visualize it with canva. Then Google Docs came along and sealed the union; with Google Docs, I could move content from CHATGPT, edit, auto-save, share and collaborate with others.
Looking at it now, I realize my learning journey wasn’t just about Canva but about learning skills that were helpful in the classroom.
My Learning Project Week 1- My Journey with Canva: A New Chapter in Design
As someone who has always been fascinated by the world of design, my journey with Canva has been nothing short of transformative. In the first week of my learning project, I learnt:
- The Basics of design through tutorials
- How to work with Canva.
- How to work with templates
My Learning Project Week 2 – Learning Canva: A Gateway to Creativity.
My initial foray into Canva was driven by a desire to create a visually appealing birthday. I created invitations for my loved ones, and with each design project, I became more confident and skilled, unleashing a creativity that had been lying dormant within me. In my second project, I started achieving my goals to create designs that would be useful for work.
My Learning Project Week 3- Unleashing Creativity with Canva.
I dug my hands a little further and experimented with presentations on canva. I had always known to use PowerPoint for presentations, but here I was in a whole new world, creating stunning presentations in minutes. I went from creating my husband’s birthday post to learning and making a presentation slide.
My Learning Project Week 4 – Discovering ChatGPT: A Serendipitous Encounter.
In this learning journey, I learnt the following;
- How to use CHATGPT
- The pros and the cons
- How to use a prompt to get the desired result.
My learning Project Week 5 – Breathe life into designs: Mastering Canvas animation.
What I learnt;
- How do you make objects move in a particular way, left, right, bottom, and top?
- How to add a transition
My Learning Project Week 6 – Embarking on a Digital Journey.
In this learning project I delved into Google docs and discovered a new way of documentation, this reinforced the importance of embracing new tools and technologies in our ever-evolving world. I learnt
- How to set up a Google account
- How to use Google Docs
- How to translate a document
- How to set it to offline mode
- How do I share and allow access to my Google document?
As I reflect on my Canva journey, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. What began as a simple exploration has blossomed into a lifelong passion, a testament to the power of curiosity and the boundless potential within each of us. I will also add that curiosity, with the right determination and consistency, would create the perfect recipe for creativity and productivity.
There would be challenges along the way ( I had mine, too), but the focus should not be on the pain and frustration but rather on the goal.
