Volunteer Experience
I spent most of my volunteering at Moose Jaw Soccer, the club I played for for the latter part of my life. I was able to work with young children and help teach them about a sport I was so passionate about. This experience showed me that I was capable of becoming a teacher, something I had previously doubted before. I was able to practice creating lessons by developing my own drills and practices and I also worked on breaking out of my shell. Volunteering helped me work on being less afraid of public speaking and being in charge. I got to coach so many unique and amazing children and I started to appreciate the beauty in helping a child develop and learn in their own way. Without my volunteer experience I doubt I would have the confidence to become a teacher!
