Introducing Me!

Hello,

My name is Kylee Hulm, and I use the pronouns she/her. I am a third-year university student in the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina. I am presently working towards my degree in Middle Years Education (grades 6 to 9). I am beyond excited to enter a career in teaching and be a part of the teacher community. I plan to work towards becoming an inclusive education teacher one day. Ever since I was younger I have always wanted to be a teacher or work in a career where I could teach people. After completing a year in the SCBScN program, I realized I was still drawn to education, so I decided to switch programs, and I am so happy I did.

Growing up the oldest with two brothers definitely influenced my love for teaching and leadership. I enjoyed being a role model for my brothers and helping them with school projects. I also demonstrate my leadership skills at my job as a supervisor, helping with various tasks and training new staff. My goal of becoming an inclusive education teacher was inspired by my brother, who has special needs. I was also involved in my high school’s Best Buddies program and want to continue positively impacting all students.

Outside of school, I enjoy socializing with friends and family, spending time with my puppy, and simply doing activities I love to care for myself and my mental health. My puppy, Chloe, is a three-year-old Corgi Shepherd X we adopted from Bright Eyes Dog Rescue in Regina. She is an intelligent dog, so a new hobby I partake in is doing various training classes with her to build our relationship and expand her knowledge.
