My Professional Goals
Technology
I wish to implement new ways of using technology into my class. Technology can be such a huge asset in the classroom, and I don’t believe I am using it to its full potential. Students love to use technology in the classroom, it provides a fun way of learning. For me to reach my goal of becoming more “tech-savvy, ” I have decided to take an educational technology class. I have also joined a technology in the classroom Facebook page for teachers, hoping to learn new things.
Collaboration with Coworkers
Collaboration is a very important part of teaching, we cannot always do everything on our own. During my internship, I experience what it was like to be surrounded by a group of supportive teachers and it was amazing. They provided me with guidance as a younger teacher and showed me the power of collaboration. I would love to be able to extend my professional network, with new teaching opportunities.
Classroom Management
Classroom management is something that we can always improve upon. Classrooms change and so do classroom environments, this is why it is important to have a variety of management strategies on hand. Every day you walk into the classroom something different could be thrown at you, this is why we must be flexible in our management strategies. What works for one students will not always work on the next because no student is ever the same.
