Getting Connected: Exploring Feedly

Square

Is it just me, or are there an overwhelming amount of resources and blogs online? I found it very difficult to find, save, and interact with this large amount of blogs. Last week, I created an account on Feedly. For those of you who don’t know, Feedly compiles news feeds from various online sources so that you can view everything in one place. Here is a quick video that describes what Feedly is and all of it’s features:

I love that I am able to search by topic to find resources that I am truly interested in! Some of the topics that I explored were: education, technology, inclusion, creativity, and connecting. All of these topics populated many interesting blogs and webpages. I also attempted to search for the topic of social-justice, but I was un-successful in finding anything that I was interested in.

This is a quick look at what my inclusion page looks like on Feedly:

Inclusion was one of the topics that I explored in depth. Specifically, I was interested in Inclusive Education. Within this topic, I found the Think Inclusive page. This page shares content that explores inclusive education online, and different resources for teachers. This page seems to share very practical resources, and I am looking forward to following along with their posts!

  1. Hey Presley!
I just went to our EDTC300 blog hub and your post was the first one that popped up and I’m glad it did! I was JUST trying to figure out Feedly and after reading your post, as well as checking out the Youtube video you posted I feel a lot less overwhelmed! I also just did a “inclusive education” search on Feedly and was disappointed when there were no search results. But it looks like searching “inclusion” does the trick!
Your post just helped me out a lot- thank you!!!
