Welcome everyone to my blog. This blog is a place where I am going to post all things that have influenced me and things that I have learned throughout my educational journey.
My name is Hope Brenner and I am from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. I am twenty-two years of age and am in my fourth year of University at the University of Regina. I completed my elementary years at Ecole St. Margaret in Moose jaw. I also graduated high school at Vanier Collegiate. I started my post-secondary education a bit confused about what I wanted as my forever career. I completed my first year and a half in the Arts Program and then declared my major in the Bachelor of Human Justice. I completed another year and a half within this program. I eventually realized that this was not the right program for me and that I needed to find my true calling.
I have always known that I enjoy kids and realized that being an educator is what I wanted to do. It was easy to make this decision as I coach cheerleading and it brings me so much joy. Seeing your athlete(s) accomplish a skill that they have been working towards for so long and seeing the excitement on their faces is what helped influence me in wanting to become an educator. I want to be able to inspire and influence children in so many positive and uplifting ways.
I have competed in the sport of cheerleading for the past 8 years of my life. This sport has helped me shape who I am today. I have accomplished many goals of mine like attending the Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Florida not once but twice!! I have also competed in Orlando for another competition called UCA. Attending those competitions was such an exciting moment in my life that I will never forget. I hope that one day I can bring my athletes there because Worlds is something everyone should experience!
This blog is a place where I share my learnings throughout my journey of becoming a teacher. Throughout this blog, you will find many different classes that I have taken over the years. I hope the information within this blog inspires and enlightens you as they did for me!
As an educator, my goals for my classroom are to be an environment where everyone is welcome, safe, and feels included. I want my classroom to bring happiness and joy to everyone’s lives the moment they walk in. I believe that it is important for all students to receive the best education that they deserve.
Thanks for reading, Hope!
