Instructional Strategies

Provided below is a list of Instructional Strategies that I find to be very beneficial for teachers to use when creating lesson plans for any grade and subject.

Indirect – The students in this strategy are placed at the fore-front. The students have more opportunity to ask questions. The students are more hands-on in this strategy, unlike the Direct Strategy.

Direct – The teacher plays a large role as this strategy is very teacher orientated. The teacher provides the students with all the information that they need to learn.

Experiential – Similar to the Indirect strategy, the students participate in lessons in a very hands-on way. This strategy is similar to the trial and error concept. This strategy allows students to be exposed to real-life situations and scenarios while learning. This is something that I am very passionate about as students should be aware of the world around them and learn about it.

Inquiry Driven – The students are encouraged to explore the material and information. This strategy is a way to further develop the student’s knowledge throughout their learning.

Arts-Infused – This strategy involves adding art into a subjects to help develop the students learning.
