Purpose: The purpose of this activity is to get students familiar with the historical context of Treaty 4. I thought it is a great idea to incorporate a fun and competitive game into the learning process. What better way to test your student’s knowledge than through a fun and friendly game of Jeopardy!

Procedure: Click the link above and you are and your students are ready to play Treaty 4 Jeopardy. Place the students into teams, you can have as many teams as desired. Determine which team will go first and that team is able to choose the category and amount. Whoever gets the answer correct is the team to choose the next category. If calculating points, the team with the most amount of points is the winner.

Materials: A computer or tablet is required to play this game. The game will work better if there is a way for everyone to see the questions board (projector or smartboard). Another material that is great for this game is giving the teams a noise-making device to use when wanting to answer the question.

This Jeopardy game is to support the learning and history of Treaty 4. The signing of Treaty 4 was a large portion of Saskatchewan’s history and it is important to share that information in the classroom during Treaty Education.

Enjoy!
