• It is important to build bonds and maintain relationships with our students and colleagues, but in a respectful manner. We must know our boundaries in our profession.
  • Social Quality: knowing how to act and who to socialize with in and out of the classroom. 
  • Kindness matters.
  • Everything you do makes an impact on other people, think before you make a decision or say something. 
  • Schools should be a place where students can learn freely without being criticized for their culture, traditions, and beliefs.
  • Every student has the right to freedom of expression. 
  • Everyone has a right to an education.
  • It is important to check up on your students. 
  • It is okay to take a day off of work or school to take care of your mental health. 
  • In order to accomplish something or to earn something you have been wanting, you must work for it because things will not always come to you on their own. 
  • Incorporating Indigenous education is a step towards reconciliation. 
  • There are no “dumb” questions. 
  • Creating a diverse classroom or environment where every feels secure in their own beliefs, traditions, culture, and religion. 
  • To display to my students the various cultures there are around the world so they can familiarize their lifestyles where it is not questioned for being “different”.
