Learning Project Wrap-Up
Introduction Hello all! I would like to start this post by thanking everybody who has taken the time to read my posts, comment, and give feedback. I have had a wonderful time learning alongside so many talented peers. For my learning project, I decided to learn to read for pleasure. This came with many struggles and
Mental health and technology – Learning Project post
One of the main goals of relearning to enjoy reading was done mostly with one goal in mind; get off my phone. I have been at times pretty addicted to TikTok, and I found the quick scrolling badly affecting my already minimal attention span and my executive function was suffering the same fate. I feel

Falling behind in self care during finals
As many students could probably relate, the past couple of weeks have been more about survival and meeting deadlines instead of focusing on self-care or doing any learning for pleasure. My learning project has allowed me to explore the pleasure of reading, but also learn more about my inability to slow down. Talking to family
In my dark and mysterious era
This week I started my third novel. This time I am reading non-fiction. I have always had a morbid curiosity about death. I went from ahead in school to behind and went from a solid routine of productivity to a week of procrastination and ADHD paralysis. I did, however, read the entirety of Rainbow Rowell’s Pumpkin Heads. This is a graphic
A small success or a great victory?
This week, I read more. Was it a lot? No. Was it enjoyable? Also yes! I have officially started Rainbow Rowell’s Carry On. One of the first books I owned as an adult (besides textbooks and cookbooks). I was given an earlier book by Rainbow Rowell as a gift when I turned (I think) 23
This week was a big fat failure!!!!!!!!! (kinda)
So, this week was not my best, by far. I am currently an EA in a high school and Friday was both the middle of our finals, but also a full moon. Luckily I made it out alive, but I was barely dragging my exhausted, beaten, and battered body across the finish line. Free time
