Welcome back everybody!
Last week I attempted to learn the “thumbaround” technique. Unfortunately, I could only spin the pen for 90 to 180 degrees. I stated on my blog post that I will try to perfect it for the next week which is this week. Unfortunately, I could not do it!
This is not a great week for me. I caught cough and cold with a possibility of it being an influenza. This sickness definitely affected my weekly schedule since I took rest for two days. Everything that I have scheduled to do on those days have to be postponed which definitely threw me off. One of the postponed assignments is this blog and my extended “thumbaround” lesson!
With this in mind, I decided to learn some pen spinning terms instead!!
I found this WordPress source about pen spinning.
Although it is a little outdated, the information about pen spinning is very informative!!
So far, this is the most helpful terms that I have gotten with my pen spinning research! I did not know pen spinning had different terms just like any other professions. The pen spinning terms page can be found here (since I do not know where to navigate it in the homepage of the website!).
As I read through the terms, one thing is for sure interesting is the hand notation!
It is like learning the finger positions on a guitar!
My takeaway for this week’s learning project blog post
Although I still have not mastered the “thumbaround,” I will keep practicing it until I can show you all an actual video of me finally doing 360 degrees spin on my thumb!! Even though I did not get enough time to practice this technique due to sickness, I got to learn the pen spinning terms. I can end this week with full of knowledge!
