week 9- Stitching Through Challenges and Discovering Support
Week 9 has been a whirlwind of stitching and discovery in my embroidery journey. Despite the challenges of hand fatigue, I’ve persisted in working on my flower pattern, taking it one stitch at a time to avoid straining my sore thumb.
However, My friend Jenna suggested a local embroidery supply store that could provide the resources I needed to continue my craft. Excited by the prospect of finding solutions to my thumb discomfort and exploring new supplies, I eagerly ventured to the store.
I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with eager faces waiting to assist me on my embroidery quest. The knowledgeable staff took the time to chat with me about my projects and offered valuable advice on techniques and materials. Unfortunately, they were a company that printed embroidery so there were no supplies for me, They did however let me know about a product that you wear on your thumb to help the needle not push so hard on your skin. A simple yet ingenious solution to my stitching problems. With its promise of relief and comfort, I went to find one at the local Dollarama, couldn’t wait to put it to the test and see if it would alleviate the strain on my weary thumb.
