A summary of learning skit-daddle!
Posted On December 1, 2023
I just noticed after our last class tonight that my summary of learning gets cut off in Tik Tok. I have uploaded it now to youtube to show you Jacquie’s Version, the extended version (a whopping 23 extra seconds).
@jacquies_journey Here is my #eci832 summary of learning!! Special shoutout to my work friend for helping me out with this 😎

Hey Jackie! Love how to presented this summary of learning! These are the exactly questions I got when talking about this class to my co-workers and friends. It was great working with you this term! I will maybe see you in my other classes!
I love the format of your summary! Structuring it as a conversation was a great choice because it let you address a wide variety of topics and “ah-ha” moments from the breadth of the course. I particularly agree with one of your last points about familiarizing yourself with new tech. I often find myself doing the same old thing because I find new technology intimidating. I think one of the largest benefits of these courses is the opportunity to experiment with new ideas and find what works for myself. It is also inspiring to see others utilizing technology in new and exciting ways (it opened my eyes to a lot of possibilities I didn’t know existed).
Hi Jacquie,
This feels like a pretty authentic summary of learning. Even if it is staged, it is an amalgam of the conversations we all have been having with our colleagues. I especially like the moment when your friend backs you up and gets you to explain yourself. I just had the same conversation about media literacy and literacy being the same thing, where my colleague got me to back up and explain myself. Finally, I liked how you framed the whole conversation as advice on getting a Master’s degree. This also contributed to the authentic feel of your video, because once again I am sure many of us have had that same conversation. Thanks for sharing and contributing to the class and my own learning.
I love it – Jacquie’s cut (uncensored ;). This summary is a great use of interesting informational formatting. Even teens would be entertained AND learn – which is saying something. Like you and Matt, I feel one of the greatest benefits of these courses is that they push me to continue learning and trying new things (particularly digitally). Rather than gather dust, I want to stay as informed and current as I can to help our next generation of learners. Great job!
