Who am I? 2.0

Hi!

As you explore my website, you could probably tell that my name is Jozelle Sumat. I am currently a 2nd year student at the University of Regina. My major is Mathematics Education and my minor is Visual Arts Education.

I have two cats:

This one is Phil. He just turned two last June 30th, 2022. He loves to yell at us when he is hungry!

This one is Tornado, Or Tory for short! (we always call him that!). He loves to cry whenever Phil stops playing with him.

I enjoy playing videogames since I was little, and I still do! Although, I mainly just play mobile games because they are easier to access which saves me lots of time while providing relaxation and enjoyment.

I also love making artworks, however I am just getting into it again since I have two art classes this Fall 2022 semester! Otherwise, I just create artworks through extreme motivation.

Educational technology is not something I have professional knowledge on. However, I am extremely familiar with how most technology works. Educational technology is something new for me. I am interested to know what separate educational technologies from our everyday technologies such as social medias, websites, and more.

Blogging is very new to me as I am quite a secretive person. I do not usually share my opinions online. Although I used to back when I was extremely active on social medias–basically posting whatever comes into mind. Now, I am kind of mellow and very thoughtful about what I post online. In our modern world, it feels like everything we say will get some sort of hate, and that is my fear (sort of). Being hated by voicing your opinions on a topic is something we should not embrace in this society.

This class, Educational Technologies and Media, is basically opening my social media confidence again. Funny story, I have recently deactivated my twitter account a week before this course started. Turns out, I need a twitter account for this class… so here I am.
