Giving Números a Try
This week I focused on learning how to say the numbers from 1-10 in Spanish. I found this week went a lot smoother than last weeks alphabet! The main learning tool I used was YouTube. On YouTube I was able to find a very useful video of someone teaching Spanish numbers. My original plan was to find multiple videos and learn from about 3 videos however, this video taught it very well that I only used it.
I began by printing out a chart of the numbers and how they are spelt in Spanish. I find having this in front of me to look at and go through multiple times a day is useful. I found a great version of this on the Teachers Pay Teachers cite and it is free. All you need to do is make a free account then download this pdf.
The first video I found was great because she went through the pronunciation of the numbers slowly and multiple times. I found this to be useful and a lot better than google translate because I was able to hear and understand the pronunciation. The person who made this video also makes many other videos teaching more words in Spanish. I will most likely be using her videos again because I caught on to it quickly and it was quite easy! I highly recommend this video to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish.
What a great choice for a learning project! Learning a new language can be so fun. I’m glad you found some great videos to aid you in your learning journey!
What I love about the Spanish language is how beautiful it sounds! LOL I also like that it’s closely related to French – I’ve found during my trips to Mexico that there are lots of times where I can figure out what a sign or advertisement means because I’m familiar with the French language.
Wishing you success in your language learning journey!
