My journey towards reconciliation started when Joseph visited our class this semester. I wish that there were a way to honour Joseph and show my gratitude for the knowledge he has provided me with, however; this is just a very small and insufficient way to say a thank you to Joseph for the knowledge and wisdom he vulnerably shared with us. So for my journey towards reconciliation aesthetic representation, I chose to make a piece of Aboriginal beading artwork as a way to represent Joseph by the dragonfly beading he wore when he visited our class. Whenever I look at my piece of beading, I will remember Joseph and the intelligence he has and shared with me.
