When I Teach Like Myself..
I Build Relationships.
I work to inspire. I learn who all my students are and where they come from, and I support them in all they choose to do, in the classroom and outside. I treat all equal and I make everyone feel like they are an integral part of our classroom community.
I Work to Inspire.
I always come in with a smile on my face and a warm welcome to my students. I want my good morals and balanced, calm personality to be a model that my students can look up to, and aspire to be like. I tell them that they are all able to reach success, and success may look different for everyone.
I Am Vulnerable.
I let me students know that I am not perfect, and I will not know the answer to everything. I bring my own personality into the classroom, and let them know that we are the same in so many ways, and I am not that different from them. I will learn from my students as well as they will learn from me, and we will work to grow together.
I Am Inclusive.
I make sure every student feels represented in their own classroom, and feels seen in my learning experiences. I acknowledge all the backgrounds my students go home to after the day is done, and how each one effects their classroom experience differently. I let each child’s personality and wonderful qualities shine through in their learning, and make them all feel like they are enough, just the way they are.
