Getting somewhere

For this week I tried a new online resource. It’s a webpage where you can find lots of music sheets for beginners

The bad thing is that you have to pay to get the music sheets. But you can print a sample (it only gives you 1 page free) and that’s what I did! So instead of getting 2 pages, I got 1 for free, so it’s okay because I’m still learning.

I think it’s a great resource for the future because there are a lot of songs to choose from, even the newest ones! So later would be a great investment.

This week I’m learning the Halloween Theme because were’s in October so I wanted something creepy for this week’s project.

I think it’s an easy song but it’s really fast, so it was super difficult for me, but I heard it’s good to learn fast songs to improve your hand ability on the piano.

It took me 3 days to get somewhere with the song, but it still needs improvement and more practice, I definitely improved and I’m happy for it!

Also, I think I will stick to uploading my progress on Tiktok.

Here is this week’s progress.

Congratulations on improving on your learning project!

I have found that I really enjoy playing some of Chopin’s Preludes. Some of them aren’t that difficult to learn. I’d recommend Prelude number 4 and number 7.

Ahh! This is so great. My husband learned the Halloween Theme and it is all he plays lol. I spend a lot of my time searching for sheet music, and find that if I search “name” with “piano pdf free” then sorting through page 1 & 2’s links normally allows me to find some version of the song to play. Also, I have a collection of over 100 songs that I have already played or used for students, so shoot me a message if you want to talk more about finding music.
