Children are like a box of crayons. Each student is unique but when they come together, they complete our classroom! EVERYBODY has the right to live in a community where they feel SAFE, INCLUDED, VALUED and ACCEPTED regardless of differences.

Respecting Diversity means Enacting Equity and Inclusion :

  • Everyone is different
  • We are not all the same & that’s what makes the world unique & beautiful
  • We all learn in different ways from one another 
  • Be kind, Be respectful, Be supportive & act with grace 
  • Understanding students unique experiences & strengths that they bring to our classroom
  • Not everyone has to be taught the same way or learns the same way each learner is unique
  • Including everyone & showing how everyone is equal even though they are different 
  • Keeping an open mind as we invite diversity of discuss into our classrooms making every student feels welcome & safe
