There’s An App For That
This week, I tried out an app called “Lingvano” to continue my journey of learning Sign Language. Now that I have learned letters and numbers, I wanted to start learning some introductory words and phrases. This app was simple to use and very customizable. Right when you enter the app, you have a choice between which type of sign language you would like to start learning. I went with ASL.
The app also lets you choose the amount of time per day you would like to spend learning. I chose 10 minutes per day. I also really liked the slides between the signs that explained why learning ASL is beneficial.
Here is what the learning looks like. You are taught a few signs with text and video and then given a few multiple choice questions to answer regarding these new signs.
These are the words and phrases I learned this week using the app Lingvano.
My goal is to keep my daily streak going for 10 days! Have you had success with this app?

This is cool It’s kinda like Duolingo. It’s amazing how far you’re getting into your learning project, Congratulations. Question, do your hands get sore from moving it from different angles?
Congrats!
I also used Lingvano for a while, but I didn’t want to pay for it, so I switched to a different app called Intersign ASL. Once your free subscription runs out, if you’re also unwilling to pay for it, I would recommend that app! It’s very good.
