    Levelled up!

You guys asked for it, and you got it! In last weeks blog post I had a poll of what type of yoga to practice this week using the Yoga app and the winner was… MORNING YOGA! Shout out to all my voters! If I’m being completely honest, this was my last choice. Lately, I’ve found myself struggling to wake up early and be productive in the morning so I was hoping for any other option. But, I did it anyways! Starting my day with a quick 10 minute morning yoga session felt great! I felt refreshed and ready to tackle my day! I highly recommend trying morning yoga out…

    iMovie: iLovey!

Let me tell you all about iMovie! iMovie is a video editing application developed by Apple. First off, I am EMBARRASSED to let everyone know that I had this app on my phone all along and I didn’t even know?! You must think I’m behind on the times. But to be completely honest, that’s how “tech-savvy” I really am. When I realized I had this big task this week of finding an #edtech tool to use with my learning project I went into panic mode wondering what the heck I was gonna do! Right away I messaged our classes Slack community looking for recommendations and a lovely classmate told me…

Jumping back on the Twitter train

#BlastFromThePast I used to be an avid twitter user when I was in high school and that was the “cool” app to use. My most recent tweet on my personal Twitter account was back in 2018 when I told everyone that they need a heated blanket. I still stand by this. Heated blankets are #life. Twitter is probably my least used app, but when I do use it I like to just creep around. I rarely tweet, but I like using it to see funny memes or tweets that are #relatable. Before this class I would have never consider using Twitter in the classroom. I guess I never really saw…

    Flexibility is not my friend

Welcome to my second week practicing yoga! I found this week was A LOT harder for me because flexibility is a huge weakness of mine. I started out by taking some photos to show just how inflexible I really am. Yes, that’s as far as I can go… I know, It’s bad. Look at those knees bend! YIKES!! I’m actually quite embarrassed to show these photos however, I am hoping to show some drastic improvements throughout the course of my yoga experience! Since I really enjoyed following along with an instructor last week I wanted to try it again but with a focus on flexibility this time. With the advice…

    Figuring out Feedly

First things first, I made an account. Easy peasy. To begin my Feedly quest, I started to search for some education related blogs to follow. In the search bar, I typed in “education” and a bunch of blogs came up right away. Making sure I wasn’t going on a crazy follow frenzy, I decided I needed to be careful with what I want to engage with. So, I began browsing through the accounts checking to see how many followers the blogs had along with how active they were in producing interesting articles. I followed the blogs that shared articles that I found most interesting as well as the blogs with…

Getting down with the dog, literally.

If you have been following my blog, you will be excited to see this is my first week actually practicing yoga! After finding myself stressed out and overwhelmed from other course work, I decided I needed a break. What a better time than to try out my yoga learning project?! I wanted to start off with a beginner video to ease myself into this project. I also wanted to focus on my lower back and hip pain because it has been nagging at me even more than usual lately. With a quick youtube search, I found an isolated hip and lower back release yoga sequence with Adriene. Using youtube was…

    Yoga newbie

With how often I complain of body soreness and inflexibility, I might as well be classified as a senior citizen. For my age, I am extremely embarrassed to already be complaining of lower back and hip pain. What’s even worse is the fact that I can’t even touch my toes. With this in mind, I have decided to learn how to practice yoga. I have always been interested in yoga and improving my flexibility but found the terminology and the poses too intimidating to actually join a class. I figured the learning project is the perfect opportunity to finally put my fears aside and try it out! My plan I…

    It’s Alex!

Hi everyone! My name is Alexandra but I’d prefer if you just called me Alex. To get to know me personally you can check out my about me page! As for educational technology, well, I’d be lying if I said I was super confident. So let’s just say I’ll probably be learning A LOT in this course! I know the basics with computers and apps but it may take me a little time to figure the new things out, so bear with me. As you can probably already tell from my blog, I am new to this. I think blogging is awesome and kudos to the people that do it…
