During my journey I have been able to build a solid foundation for myself and how I want to go about myself on my way to becoming an educator. I have have great experiences during my field placements thus far, and have learnt a lot along the way. One main thing I have taken away is the way teachers present and hold themselves as professionals. Every cooperating teacher I have had the opportunity to be with has shown incredible leadership skills within the learning spaces. With main focuses on respect and accountability, I found the students worked well when they were held accountable and the expectations of them were made clear at the beginning of lessons. This is something I want to be sure to include into future lesson plans, as I would say I have yet to grow into the educator that will hold students accountable no matter the circumstances. It will be a main focus on my professional target sheets moving forward.
