For my learning project I decided to focus on making recipes! Thought out the weeks I will be picking a recipe that I have never made before to improve my cooking skills. I am a 22 year old, that lives by herself and often survives off of ramen noodles and chicken strips. In my house hold growing up my brother and I were both very active in sports so we always has quick meals for supper. Learning how to cook is important to me because it is a basic survival skill that I use everyday and food can bring people together.
Now in case you want to know where my cooking level is at right now, this is a picture of me warming up garlic bread:
This weeks recipe I wanted to tackle was Crab stuffed Mushrooms. I picked this recipe because I was currently at the keg and always order them. I thought to myself how hard could this be to make? so I took on the challenge and surprisingly was successful. Now I can not promise every week will turn out good, but that’s where the “learning from your mistakes” comes into play!
I got my recipe from Pinterest and I quite enjoy using this platform to get recipes because it is an easy app to navigate and they have a button that says “jump down to recipe” so I do not have to read the write up that is usually too long anyways for the things your looking to cook.
Here is a picture of my completed recipe: Crab Stuffed Mushrooms.
