This week Douglas Park School had a winter carnival for their students. These students participated in many activities such as Indigenous games, hockey, sledding, and beading. the school had split up all of the grade levels. So there were students from each grade in a group. They made an older student pair up with a younger student so no one got lost. It was great to see how all of the older students took responsibility for the younger student they were paired with, and helped them out with all of the activities. This was a great experience for me to learn a lot of new faces, and get to know students from other classrooms.
