A Healthy Balance

I use a variety of websites and apps for both schools and personal use. The tools that I use everyday are:

Facebook: This app keeps me updated on current news and connected to people I know.

Microsoft office : I use this to complete school assignments.

Urcourses: provides information on my classes/assignments and connects me to classmates and professors.

Tiktok: Entertainment with short videos/clips.

Even though I frequently use more apps in my day to day life, I know I check these everyday. These tools are a mix of academic and leisure purposes. These apps represent two big aspects of my life.

Sometimes I have a hard time balancing my time on using apps for academic and leisure purposes. I try to set boundaries that won’t let one dominate the other. I will work on school assignments but give myself frequent breaks to be able to watch tiktoks or reply to text messages. If I need to grind and really get homework done I like to set my devices on do not disturb, this helps with not getting distracted.

Overall, by setting boundaries, limiting distractions, and taking breaks, this helps with a healthy balance between screen time for academic purposes and personal well-being.
