I Believe Statements

I believe…

  • That collaboration is necessary for both teachers and students to grow
  • That every child mattersĀ (regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • Students should have an influence on the content, activities, and material they learn
  • A positive and safe environment offers more opportunities to learn
  • The development of critical thinking skills and morals/values are important in the learning process
  • That students’ feelings and thoughts must always be considered valid
  • Discipline over punishment
  • Education should be accessible to everyone
  • In hands-on learning
  • In multiple teaching styles
  • Written tests are not the only way to show a student’s understanding
  • That educating students from a diverse perspective will encourage students of various morals and practices to be more open-minded.
