Journey to Reconciliation Aesthetic Piece

The aesthetic piece for my journey to reconciliation project seems simple, but holds great amounts of meaning. Simply, the aesthetic piece is a wooden box that has a certain colour painted on each side. However, each colour represents a specific emotion. As I went through the reconciliation process within this project, I wrote down events/actions that correlated to the emotions. This box represents my mind and the thoughts that occurred throughout this process.

The green represents healing.
The blue represents sadness.
The red represents anger/frustration.
The yellow represents optimism.
The black represents calls to action.

It is important to note that the black overlaps the other colours on the outside of the box because calls to actions help to form reconciliation and is incredibly important to keep in mind. It is the basis to reconciliation advancing further. As the lid of the box is opened you will notice coloured papers with writing on each of them. Each coloured paper in the box has a specific event or action written down that corresponds with the specific emotion as outlined on the outer part of the box.
