WHO: I worked with in a grade 5, 6 and 7 spilt with a total of 17 students!

WHAT: I had the opportunity to teach Health education where we learnt about stereotypes and about ourselves and English Language Arts where I started a novel study with the novel “Holes” written by Louis Sachar.

Shortly after my three week pre-internship block I was offered a position as an Educational Assistant.

During this time:

I had the opportunity to work with small groups, learn about different classroom resources, support and ideas. I was able to explore my interest of working with Kindergarten, Grade One and Grade Two. During my time I was to able to spend time with a student who has higher needs and diversity of learners in the classroom. This gave me extra insight of how to plan for student success, ways to differentiate that are depend on student abilities and how to balance student needs

Above all the staff were amazing to work with when I had questions that also led into brainstorming ideas and scenarios for myself as a future educator.
