Post #6 – Crazy How Much Can Change In A Week!
Hello Everyone!
This week I decided to use several online resources and do some research to help me in my bathroom renovation journey. I also used a new digital tool to help highlight a transition of a specific bathroom area. I am familiar with the digital tool I used, but it was new for this project and it is TikTok! Below is a YouTube video that includes everything I’ve used during this update, and it will also provide you with my next plans for this project. I hope you enjoy it!
Side Note: I have been loving creating my videos on Canva and then uploading them to YouTube! Highly recommend it, and I will be looking more into both of those resources in the future weeks.
For the next part of this learning project post, I wanted to share some of the resources I used throughout my week to help me understand and do better on the renovation.
How To Use a Paint Edger LIKE A PRO – IN ABOUT ONE MINUTE (youtube.com)
How To Clean The Caulking In A Bathtub Or Shower (EASY Tutorial) (youtube.com)
How to clean moldy caulk in the shower (youtube.com)
How to Install Self-Stick Vinyl Floor Tile – Flooring – How To Videos and Tips at The Home Depot
I enjoyed the resources above and found myself returning to them throughout the week! I also apologize for the lack of videoing when doing certain renovations, it’s just difficult setting the camera up at an angle where you can see me and what I’m doing! I am going to try harder next week hahaha!
To end this blog post I wanted to give another price update: The total cost so far for the renovation is $196.80. I still need to get a mirror and door for the bathroom, and then finalize the decor, but for how much change there has been I think the price is justifiable!
Once again thanks for reading/watching!
This looks amazing. I can’t wait to see the final result! I will be watching your blog closely as I currently live at home, but when I move out I assume I will be having to do a lot of renovations. The money you spent seems extremely reasonable for all the work you have done.

Love watching your progress and loved the TikTok video. I also really appreciate how you share all of the resources you are using!
Hi Madison,
What a great skill to learn. Shocking how much you can learn from TikTok! The reno is looking amazing. I am excited to see the final project at the end of the semester. Keep up the hard work. I don’t know how much new information I can give you but if you have any electrical questions throughout your renovation feel free to reach out and ask! I have an electrical background!
Good luck with everything.
Zach
I’m very impressed that you have taken on such a big project for your learning project blog. Renovating is no easy task. I’ve been helping my parents finish their basement in my spare time this past summer and fall. There are parts of renovating that seem to take forever, and there are parts that make huge differences in the transformation. I really like the green you have chosen for the walls, and the shower curtain is a nice touch.
Keep up the good work, and good luck with completing your renovation!
