Teaching Philosophy and Manifesto

 

Pedagogy I believe that my pedagogical approaches should support all my students.

I believe as an educator my approaches to teaching should support students to reach their full potential.

 

In my classroom, I will diversify my pedagogy based on what my students need to be successful.

In my classroom, I will plan my lessons based on what my students need and are engaged with.

 

Assessment I believe assessment is an ongoing process.

I believe assessment should reflect student learning.

I believe assessment should be inclusive of all learners.

 

In my classroom, I will make sure my assessment reflects what my students have learned within the lesson.

In my classroom, I will make sure to be clear and comprehendible on what the assessment task is to be successful.

 

Social Justice I believe every student should be treated and seen equally.

I believe all students have the right to be heard and share their opinions.

 

In my classroom, I will incorporate diverse perspectives into my lesson planning.

In my classroom, I will encourage students to share their own experiences.

 

Lifelong Learning I believe all students can be successful in their education.

I believe every child has the right to learn.

In my classroom I will have students set goals, to help them succeed in their education.

In my classroom, I will support my students in the way they need to be successful.
